Ventana
The rebranded Ventana puts a modern spin on this coastal rustic get-away at Big Sur. For decades, the resort, formerly known as “Ventana Inn” has been a popular vacation site for generations of families. Some of the returning guests request the same room year after year as part of their tradition. The historical Post family homestead built in 1867 was converted into the Big Sur Smokehouse which creates a landmark to the entryway into the resort. The design of the wayfinding was inspired by the modern simplicity of the new brand. The impact of the signage is ideally minimal amongst the beauty of the natural environment.
